Google's Andy Rubin has confirmed that Google will released new Nexus phone coming out in this winter holidays together with new Android OS version, Ice Cream Sandwich. Since that day we have got many rumors about Nexus 3 but we won't final details about new Google Android phone until October that's the same time as last year that Google Nexus S details came out. We expect to see more specs and picture leaked in next few months ,in that time the Nexus 3 should ready for testers if Google want to release their new Nexus phone in Christmas. Talk about manufacturer for the Nexus 3, Google didn't confirm about this but we know that's only top 5 manufacturer who could win a chance.
HTC - made the first Android phone ( T-mobile G1 ) and first Google Nexus phone ( Nexus One ) and still are the biggest Android phone manufacturer.
Samsung - made one of the best high-end phone like the Galaxy S which is the platform for second version of Nexus phone ( Nexus S ) . Samsung has the best quality displays and could easily transform Galaxy S 2 to the Nexus 3
LG - the LG Optimus One was a good step for LG's Android experience but LG has never had a flagship Android phone in the high-end market and that can cause some trouble. However from a trusted source from LG said they were working on a quad-core phone and it could end up being the Nexus 3
Motorola - made the Motorola droid as the first device runs on Android 2.0 and Motorola Xoom as the first tablet runs on Android 3.0 , wouldn't be surprised if you see the first Android 4.0 device from Motorola
Sony Ericsson - We haven't seen many high-end Android phone from Sony Ericsson in US market but from several sources said Sony Ericsson was the frist manufacturer have got a chance to produce the Nexus One before Google went to Samsung.
Another hot topic for Nexus 3 is CPU processor - at Google IO, Google used a Tegra-powered to runs Ice Cream Sandwich demo on Xoom. NVIDIA's CEO also said they were working Ice Cream Sandwich CPU and they would have their quad-core Kal-El processor for tablets in August and for smartphones in Christmas. However a release date for first quad-core tablets delayed until September or October, so if the smartphone version is not ready in time we will not to see Kal-El CPU in the Nexus 3 if Google really want to release a phone in this winter.
There are few contenders for Nexus 3 CPU like Qualcomm's 28nm, Krait Snapdargon, Texas Instruments 1.5 GHz OMAP4460, Qualcomm 1.2 GHz Snapdargon MSM8x60 and Samsung 1.2 Ghz Exynos 4210. However manufacturer maybe a main reason if Google choose HTC we will see Qualcomm CPU for sure, if we see LG made Nexus 3 the choices for CPU are NVIDIA and TI and would be NVIDIA or Qualcomm for Sony Ericsson Nexus 3.
After Nexus One supported only T-mobile and T-mobile and Sprint for Nexus S. Surely, Google seriously want to get their Android phone line up on Verizon and AT&T too. So,Nexus 3 will appear on every carrier with several different version to support all the 4G networks. Another question for new Google Phone - what will the next Nexus be called ? several rumors said it would be called the Nexus Prime, Nexus S ll if produced by Samsung or just simple name like the original version "Nexus 3". So what do you think about Nexus 3 's manufacturer, name and specs ?
